Comprehensive Healthcare Benefits

Work Assured is designed to provide comprehensive Healthcare benefits, including prompt access to medical treatment when it is considered that the required treatment is not available on the NHS in a timely manner and that such early clinical intervention will reduce the length of absence and return the employee to work.

When illness or injury occurs and any of the absence trigger points are activated, the Health Assured Care and Case Management process will be initiated to facilitate prompt treatment on the NHS or privately utilising the Work Assured Medical Plan.

If the required consultations and diagnostic services are not available on the NHS within 20 days then the Care and Case Management team will arrange for immediate private services under the Work Assured Medical Plan.

If consultations and diagnostics indicate that further treatment is required and such treatment is not available on the NHS within 45 days then again the Care and Case Management team will arrange for immediate private treatment under the Work Assured Medical Plan

Note 1. Up to 6 sessions of Physiotherapy on 2^nd episode of musculoskeletal problems in 12 month period is available in addition to the standard out-patient benefit.
